Evaluation- A Government inspector
Working on this play set a whole new experience for me,not onl because it was my last performances in the college but because I feel like with this play I spent the most time on my characterisation and research.
In all four plays I feel as there was a comon dinominator in my performance which was nerves,however I overcame my nervous by being in the moment and enjoying being in the stages space.
My fellow actors enabled me to play my character whilst being myself in my role.
I am comfortable around acting I front of them and I am able to work my best.
My highlights:
Whilst researching my character I was unsure if Dob and Bobs (myself and emilys) voices were going to work well with our characters in the play.the audiences reaction seemed shocked at first as I believe the voices were unexpected however as a satire it worked very well with the performance.
The ending-with the ending I was always quite cautious about as in the end scene myself and Emily have a argument and the argument is quite overpowered by everyone's Lou's remarked to the characters. In Rehursals I was quite wary of this however when we actually came to perform this I was surprisingly pleased with the way it worked,it looked more realistic and it helped the ending flow a lot better than I thought
The costume- me and Emily were unsure at first with what we wanted to wear,at first we were thinking "mc hammer" pants with maybe and simple top and a waist coat ,but then we realised that wouldn't fit with our characters.
When we concluded our costumes we were both quite weary as we didn't know if the audience would understand the wild costumes we picked out.
The audience had a good reaction towards it and all was well.
Cons:
Although all actors performed at there best level there were a few mistakes made as we were acting in the moment.
One laughable moment was when Willian's shoe some came of in the middle of our scene.this was a very funny moment and I do believe that the audience thought it was part of the play and although it worked well with the performance it was hard to keep a straight face.
I am proud of how me Emily and will acted professionally and were able to maintain professionalism whilst performing.
Punctuality and attendance- I am quite surprised at the amount of people that didn't come In at all to play there roles,it was the last play and for the actors who did come in,it was hard for us to play our role in certain scenes that they were in.
Not surprisingly those actors didn't learn there lines which slowed down the prosses of rehearsing the play.
Overall I am so delighted the outcome of our performance.
We worked through a hard and chaotic Rehursals prosses with many actors absent abs were able to play our roles perfectly individually.
After working in this play I understand how it is hard to work In a unstable environment but maintain proffesionalism.
I will take all the skills I have learnt in my higher education and take on broad all my feedback through out the years whilst learning quickly on how to improve them.
Characterisation
Upon researching my character I realised,both dob and Bob both resemble "twin like" characterisation.
As well as there characterisation,the way they look is very important as although they are both individuals of there own,we wanted to show how they resemble each other and how alike they are.
In Alice And wonderland they have to characters that are quite similar to dob and Bob chinsky-fumble doo and fumble Dee,both alike character resemble "twin like" characteristics such as there clothes,there body shape and even there height.Whilst reasearch ling deeper into this I realised it is possible for me to relate the twins in Alice and wonderland to myself and bobs character.
I began focusing on the way they walk.
I noticed the tweedle twins had a slight waddle in there stance and when researching and watching plays of the government inspector I noticed the actors playing dob and Bob show similar gestures in what they do and the way they walk.
Myself and Emily decided to in a way "waddle" when we entered the state space,by doing this we were able to catch the audiences attention even when certain scenes were both focused on us.

Myself a d Emily decided on a unique voice we could adapt easily when playing both characters,this not only helped us get into characterisation easily but it helped us adapt to our roles quicker as it surpisingly fitted well with the character.

Lessom 1:
in this lesson we had to Identify a word tht fits with the character we were going to be in the play, the word I chose was confused,I chose this word because I believe that it fits with my character quite well as throughout the play my character portrays a unhinged persona.
Using this word we wee then told to walk around the drama studio, using the space.
I noticed that whilst doing this my body automatically embodied my characters mannerisms through my physical body. Leading with my legs I took long strides around the space showing confusion in my footsteps and also in my face, we were then told that we could interact with our peers whilst staying in character my first instinct as my character was to act and we committed to the character,excessive helped us embodying the character,not actin from the neck up,helped me place the character showing where he leads(I led with legs)
-gives character personality(describe what personality(created an image)
Developing sympathy/empathy
-we were able to connect with other characters
-an inner response(meeting as two physical bodies
We then chose a word in a script tht deceives us-I chose silly(word given from the play write)-the difference is the word is not what we feel the character is,it's what word is given.
We chose a piece of music our character would listen to (humpty dumpy)move in the rythm of the music
Realate to character(as an actor it helps build the character
Went in groups of 3 to create a scene with the gestures-show how the charters connect with each other-then we took out two lines from the script and cheated a scene-as soon as we added text the gestures got weaker
We then connected with another group
To create an ensemble piece putting all the lines and gestures together,
We created a story line,with the movements,we found joy in the play,we realised it was very comedic,from the feedback we got it showed tht it was very pleasing to the audience
We over exaggerated the movements
Placing it at a high level(level 10)-buildup on energy
Bobchnsky enters with dob informing the governor about overhearing news about the inspector.
Bobchinsky and dobchinsky stay close beside one another making sure they both listen in on the govenor,
The characters become confused as they listen in on what seems to be a mysterious inspector
The finale end in a disaster as both characters come to a conclusion that there the reason for the fake inspectors appearance!
